Call for Proposals

Preparing our Students to Live in a Global Society

Proposals are being solicited for the annual conference of the New Mexico Academic Advising Association. The conference will take place at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, New Mexico, February 26th and 27th, 2009. Conference program sessions will last one hour and multiple formats are welcome. Deadline for proposals: December 15, 2008.

Proposals are invited on any aspect of the conference theme, including (but not limited to):

Proposal Format

  1. Title of presentation
  2. Format of presentation: Individual, Panel, Live Performance, Video, etc.
  3. Information about person submitting the proposal
    a. Name, with title and institution
    b. Telephone number, e-mail address, mailing address, and FAX number
  4. Additional presenters: Information about any and all co-presenters
    a. Name, with title and institution and e-mail addresses
  5. 30-word description for the printed program
  6. Technology requirements: Audio, Internet, Projection, Video, etc.
  7. Presentation Abstract (100 word limit):
    a. Proposals should clarify the objectives or purpose of the presentation, establish the importance of the topic, and indicate how the topic will be addressed.
    b. Proposals should indicate what kind of audience might most benefit from this presentation.
